Choose one to five characters; the first is your protagonist. Use library favorites or build your own in the [character creator](/ai-character-creator), and add a persona if you want to write yourself in.

One sentence is enough, or let the outline generator draft a premise from your cast. Then pick a writing style and preview it on your characters.

Direct, revise, continue
Give one direction at a time, or press Continue and let the story move on its own. Edit any passage in place and come back to it in [your novels](/novels) whenever you like.

Is there a free AI erotica generator?
Yes. Novel Mode runs on Reverie's free model, whose allowance refills every few hours. Other models cost credits by the tokens a passage uses, and new accounts start with free credits. Adult content needs a free account and an age confirmation.
How is this different from an erotic story generator?
A typical erotic story generator writes the whole thing from one prompt and hands it back. Here you write it together: you choose the cast, the premise and the style, then direct each scene while the AI writes the prose. You trade instant length for control over pacing and heat.
Is Reverie an uncensored AI story generator?
Reverie adds no censorship layer of its own on top of the model. Explicit scenes between fictional adults are available to verified 18+ users who opt in. Hard limits still apply on every setting: no minors or minor-coded characters, no real people, no doxxing, no illegal activity.
What if the AI writes my scene too tamely?
Models have their own tendencies, and some are stricter than others. Switch your NSFW AI writer to another model between passages, use Zoom into a detail to slow the moment down, and check that your 18+ preference is set the way you want it.
Can I write AI erotica with my own characters?
Yes. Any character you've created or saved from the library can join a novel's cast, up to five per book. Each one keeps their personality and voice, and you can add one of your personas to play yourself.
Can I turn a roleplay chat into an erotic novel?
Yes. Chat to novel rewrites a whole chat as prose in Faithful, Novelized or Condensed mode, using that chat's model and spending credits. Only the active branch is converted, so to adapt part of a long chat, fork it at the right reply first. The result opens in Novel Mode, ready to continue.
How long can a story get?
There's no length cap. Past a certain length the novel keeps a rolling story memory plus the latest passages, so names, history and unresolved tension stay consistent. You can read and correct that memory in Novel Settings.
Who owns what I write, and can I export it?
You own the text. Export a novel as Markdown, or as an illustrated HTML page you can print to PDF. You can keep it private or share it by link.
Are my stories private?
Your work is private to your account unless you share it. It isn't end-to-end encrypted, though: the model provider and Reverie's moderators can read content to run the service, and Reverie doesn't sell personal data.
What's the difference between Novel Mode and NSFW CYOA?
Novel Mode is a free, linear blank page you direct. NSFW CYOA uses Story Mode: chapters, roles and endings you reach through your choices, written fresh every playthrough and run on credits.
What makes good AI erotica
The difference between erotica and a list of events is the same as it's always been. A co-author can help with all of it, as long as you steer.
Tension before contact
Desire works when something stands in the way: a rule, a rivalry, a secret, a ring. Use Advance the plot to add the obstacle, and let the first passages be about wanting rather than having.
Consent is part of the heat
Two adults who choose each other, out loud or in a look, make a scene charged instead of uneasy. Write the yes into the dialogue with Speak in your voice. It reads better, and it keeps both characters people rather than props.
Pacing across passages
Rushing to the act in one paragraph is the classic failure of a one-shot AI smut writer. Novel Mode spreads mature scenes over several passages, and Zoom into a detail slows the camera to a hand, a breath, a held glance.
Point of view and voice
Decide whose head you're in and stay there. Put it in the writing style, something like "close third person, her point of view, wry and unhurried", or paste a passage you love and let Reverie match it.
From prompt to finished story
A one-shot AI sex story generator stops at the prompt. In Novel Mode, the prompt is where the work starts.
Cast and premise
Pick up to five characters and give them a one-line premise: two rival restorers, one commission, a single night in the gallery. Or let the outline generator suggest one from who they are.
Direct, then revise
Write one line per direction and read the passage that comes back. Edit any passage in place; the last eight can be regenerated or deleted, and Undo takes back the newest.
