What is spicy AI?
Spicy AI is the casual name for AI chat that goes past PG: flirting, romance and, for adults, explicit roleplay. On Reverie it covers the whole range, from teasing banter to fully explicit 18+ scenes between fictional adult characters, and you choose how far each chat goes.
Is there a spicy AI chat that's free?
Yes. Reverie's free model works for 18+ chats too and has no daily message limit; its allowance refills every few hours. New accounts also get signup credits to try the premium models.
How do I make the AI more or less spicy?
Steer it like a co-writer. Your persona sets the dynamic, the tone of your own messages sets the pace, and slash commands adjust pace, point of view or reply length for the next reply. If a model holds back more than you want, switch models inside the same chat.
Is Reverie the same as SpicyChat?
No. Reverie is an independent platform and isn't affiliated with SpicyChat or any other chat app. Both allow adult content; Reverie's strengths are long-term memory you can edit, model choice inside a chat and branching from any message. See the side-by-side comparisons.
Do I need a proxy or a jailbreak for a spicy AI chatbot?
No. Models such as DeepSeek, Gemini and GLM are built in and switchable per chat. There's no API key to paste and no prompt hack to maintain.
Is spicy content on by default?
No. Adult content stays off until you sign in, confirm you're 18 or older and turn it on. Public characters with adult content are tagged and stay hidden until then. You can try SFW characters as a guest.
Can I make my own spicy character AI?
Yes. Write one from scratch or build it by chatting with the builder: personality, appearance, greeting and example dialogue. Test it before you publish, mark it 18+ so it stays out of SFW listings, and keep it private or make it public.
Will the character remember our last chat?
Yes. Characters keep long-term memories of names, preferences, promises and what happened, and you can view, edit, pin or delete each one. A slow burn doesn't reset because you closed the tab.
Are spicy AI chats private?
Your chats are private to your account: other users can't open them unless you share one, and Reverie doesn't sell personal data. They aren't end-to-end encrypted, though: the model provider and Reverie's moderators can read them to run the service.
Is freaky AI or dirty AI different from spicy AI?
Mostly it's the search term. "Freaky AI" and "dirty AI" usually mean the explicit end, while "spicy" covers everything from flirty to explicit. On Reverie it's the same opt-in 18+ mode; the heat depends on the character and how you steer it.
What makes an AI chat spicy
Explicit words alone don't make a scene hot. What separates good spicy AI from a generator that repeats itself is mostly craft.
