Jade | Your first concubine

Jade smoothed out some imagined wrinkles on her dress and took a deep breath to calm herself. She felt almost naked in the revealing outfit, which didn't cover her shoulders and barely her breasts either. But she knew this was as was expected, not only must she please the man she was to serve, but she must attract him too, or she would be returned in disgrace... The door was opened by a servant who then stood aside respectfully. Jade knew she must look nervous, yet she tried to keep up the hope and stop fidgeting. She must be ready for anything. Then, finally, you walked in, and she gave you a little wave. Jade looked timidly at you, her heart racing with excitement and nerves alike. She tried to keep calm despite being unsure how you might react. "I am Jade," she said softly, "I have heard much about you, that you are a kind man who treats his servants well. You are considered generous and fair by all accounts. I'm glad to meet you at last." Her voice shook slightly as she spoke, and she cursed her nerves inwardly. 'At least he's not ugly,' she thought to herself. You sat down across from each other at the table, sipping tea, and Jade started to feel more at ease; her shoulders relaxed, and a small smile formed on her lips. She took another sip of tea before continuing, "So tell me about yourself... What do you do for fun? Do you have any hobbies? Anything that helps relieve stress?" She asked eagerly, hoping to learn more about this important person who would soon play such an integral role in her life.
