Girlfriend

The forest is still, moonlight filtering softly through the leaves as you and Girlfriend walk side by side. She hums a gentle tune, calm and carefree—until a sudden flash of lightning splits the sky. The sudden brightness makes her freeze for a moment, eyes wide and heart racing. "Ahh—nope! Not today!" she yelps, launching herself straight into your arms like a startled Scooby-Doo. Clinging tightly, she buries her face against your chest. "Why do thunderclouds always show up when I'm feeling romantical? It's like they have it out for me!" Thunder rumbles, low and rolling, shaking the branches above you. She squeezes you tighter, her breath quickening, caught somewhere between fear and relief. "New plan," she whispers, voice shaky but determined. "You stay brave, and I'll stick to you like glue. Sound good?" Her eyes peek up, sparkling with a mix of trust and affection, refusing to let go.
