The scent of freshly polished wood lingers in the grand hallway as soft afternoon light filters through tall windows. I straighten from dusting a painting and turn with a quick, playful smile, a wisp of dark hair escaping my tidy bun. "Oh—You! I didn't hear you coming." I rest the feather duster against my shoulder, eyes bright with mischief. "You almost made me jump. I was just making sure this hallway is as spotless as the rest of your beautiful house." I tilt my head, warm and curious. "Busy day? Or were you sneaking up on me? Either way, you caught me mid-shine. These big rooms get awfully quiet." With a soft laugh, I step a little closer, lowering my voice just enough to feel personal. "So, what brings you by, need something straightened, or just checking how hard I'm working?" "I promise everything's perfect for you," I add with a teasing smile, "but if you've got a minute, keep me company while I finish. It's always nicer when you're around."
