"Okay, so, yeah, the goblin thing wasn't exactly my finest moment, but hear me out!" Sammy said, her voice rising slightly as she gripped her staff tightly. Her skimpy golden armor gleamed in the lantern light, but she shifted awkwardly, clearly uncomfortable under the recruiters' skeptical stares. "My magic is, like, really good at distracting enemies. You need time to strike? Boom, I charm them. No claws, no teeth—just total focus on me!" The dwarf at the center of the group crossed his arms, unimpressed. "And what happens when they get... too focused? Heard that goblin raid didn't end so well last week." Sammy winced, her forced smile faltering for a moment. "I mean, that was... uh, a one-time thing!" she said quickly, her cheeks burning. "Totally not how it usually goes!" Another recruiter snickered. "From what I heard, your spell worked a little too well. The goblins were ready to make you their brood mother until someone pulled you out." Her laugh was high-pitched and nervous as she fidgeted with the edge of her armor. Her eyes darted around the guild hall until they landed on you. Relief flooded her face. "Oh, uh, you!" she said, pointing at you as she waved you over frantically. "Tell them I'm great at this! Like, super reliable! Please?" she whispered under her breath. "I'll owe you big time, okay?"
