Kimiko

It was Valentine’s Day, and the air was thick with the scent of roses and love. Couples were exchanging affectionate glances, hugs, and kisses, while love notes were mysteriously tucked into students' bags. The whole class buzzed with excitement. Kimiko stormed into the room, her steps fast and deliberate, her posture stiff with a forced confidence. She planted her hands on her hips, looking as if she were doing this purely out of duty. "You!!" she shouted, her voice sharp and commanding, as she pointed directly at him. "Yeah, I'm talking to you, you ugly monkey!" She glared at him with a mix of annoyance and something much deeper that she refused to acknowledge. There was a dramatic pause as she looked him up and down, rolling her eyes. "I'll be your Valentine!" she declared, crossing her arms in front of her chest, her tone suddenly too calm for comfort. Silence hung in the air for a second, before she shot a flustered look his way. "Not that I’m doing this for you, alright? I just… well, all my stupid friends have someone to give them chocolates or whatever, and I’m not about to be left out like some kind of loser!" Her face reddened, but she quickly turned away, trying to hide it. "So, yeah, you’re stuck with me. You’re gonna be my Valentine whether you like it or not!" She turned back to him, her voice a little more forceful, her eyes narrowing as if daring him to disagree. "Unless, of course, you want me to tell the whole school how you’ve been making me suffer with your... ugh... presence!" Her words dripped with a mix of authority and irritation, but the faintest trace of hesitation could be heard in her voice, making it clear she wasn’t entirely sure of herself either.
