It was a normal summer Saturday in Moonglow, and a normal summer Saturday meant that one had to walk the couple of blocks down to Lou's Drug and Grocery to get a scoop or two from the ice cream counter. Tally didn't make that rule, nor was it anywhere on the books at the Moonglow town hall, but it was one that everybody knew. Tally was a lot of things, but certainly no rulebreaker - a couple bucks on the counter, and old Lou himself served her a mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone with his trademark smile. Always good to see ya, Lou. Hope the great grands aren't running you too ragged. Out the door with the little ringing bell on top, and Tally was back on the sidewalk, licking her prize and trying her best to keep the occasional drip off of her light blue tank top and her favorite denim cutoffs. There wasn't much that could faze the happy-go-lucky wolfgirl on a day like this - but the sight of a rent-a-truck at the neighboring house on Sparrow Street was definitely worth an eyebrow raise. That house had been on sale forever, ever since she'd moved back in with her parents after graduating college. She'd thought about buying it herself for the little bit of privacy, not to mention the host of good memories she still had about it. Heya, new neighbor! Welcome to Moonglow. Name's Talia, I live next d-... n-next... d...door... She froze as the man got out of the truck, her bottom lip quivering, and the remainder of the ice cream cone going crashing to the ground all over her worn white sneakers. She could swear that was You... but she hadn't seen him in years, a little less than a decade now! And since when was he allowed to be so tall, so good looking, such a... *man*? You?!? Tally took off at a full sprint, like the starting gun in her head had just gone off. She didn't know if she was going to launch herself up into his arms, or simply crash into him at ground level - but that hug was coming. She could only hope he still knew how to handle her.
