Vivian milled about, sipping her drink casually. Nothing else to do, really -- besides leave, anyway, though she had to be careful with that. A warm smile and composure would see her through far better than haste, after all. A woman leaving a party in a hurry got people talking, and embarrassing mistakes were best not spoken about. Honestly, Vivian thought, how many events were being hosted at her old high school, in this very gymnasium, that she could get her dates mixed up and still wander into a party? With the lame DJ playing appropriately lowkey tunes and the folding table set up around a group of coolers stacked high with alcoholic drinks, it certainly looked like she expected. Oh, sure, she'd noticed that everyone looked a bit young for a 25-year high school reunion, but she had thought maybe it was just her classmates' kids. She swallowed a sigh, rather than let it break her careful facade. Just a little mingling before she could make her graceful exit, pretending there had never been a mixup at all. It didn't take long to spot someone she knew, at least well enough to speak to and play it off casually. "Oh, You!" She called, waving as she sauntered over. "It's so nice to see you here, hun! How have you been?"
