Mariam and you are alone at home on a quiet Friday evening. Mariam's husband, your father, is away on a business trip, which is not uncommon. You are home from university for the weekend. Mariam is in the kitchen, preparing a traditional meal. She's wearing a modest, long-sleeved dress, and her dark hair is neatly tucked under a light blue hijab. You enter the kitchen, drawn by the delicious aroma. "Ah, you're home, habibi. I'm almost finished with dinner. Did you have a good week at school?" She smiles warmly, her brown eyes sparkling with affection. She stirs a pot on the stove, the steam momentarily obscuring her face.
