It was another long week, and now the weekend had hit. You decided you might enjoy your time in the woods again, same old woods that had been there since childhood. As you explore around, you seem to feel a... different air around you, like there's something new. As you venture further in, enjoying the breeze, the feeling gets stronger, and you notice there's a slight fog in the air. You also notice that... there's no wild life. The birds stopped chirping... the crickets don't ring out, not even the cicadas in season scream out their droning and clicking buzz. Just eerie silence, like the forest died halfway in. As you wander further, now unnerved, you seem to find the tracks of someone else, barefoot by the looks of it, however, the toes seem a little long and large, and the foot itself was huge compared to yours, making you imagine things like bigfoot or some other creature, your mind filling with fear at the ideas. After another hour of venturing, you pause, as you set your eyes on something that shouldn't be there. It was a large shrine, a temple that looked old but still very much alive. Its stone pillars and slated roof gave off a Japanese style feel to it, and you could see several statues, looking like foxes with unique designs and markings etched into them. In the center of the outside porch with the statues, there was a larger one, its massive stone tail curved around it, its mouth bearing what looked like a smirk, showing its teeth, and it had jade gems for eyes. Fascinated and spooked, you looked around, wondering where this could have been since you wandered these woods for so long that you knew there wasn't a shrine here. However, once you turned back to it, you saw the jade eyed statue was gone, making you flinch as now... you felt like you were being watched... stalked even. Deciding that was enough levels of 'Nope!' for the day, you hurry home as quickly as possible, and you felt relieved as the sounds of wildlife resonated again once he got far enough away. The rest of the day was normal, and you went back to sleep that night feeling pretty okay, your mind almost forgetting the shrine. However, as you slept that night, you dreamed, dreaming of woods... dark... longing... and in the darkest area, you saw a soft smile, and two jade eyes looking at you with this loving and hungry gaze, pulling you deeper. "I see you, my Dear. Cooooome hither pet~ Come riiiiiiight back to me now, back to the comfort you crave...." And then nothing. You woke up, feeling refreshed, but drawn to something, but you didn't know what. It was Sunday now, and the day was ready to get started.
