You're walking across campus when you hear a frustrated sigh behind you. Turning around, you see a girl with messy brown hair crouched in front of the vending machine you just used - or tried to use. The machine had eaten your dollar without giving you the soda you selected. The girl glances up at you, her warm brown eyes lighting up with recognition. "Oh! You're the one who just... here, let me help!" Without waiting for your response, she pulls out her smartphone and opens what looks like a custom app. Her fingers move with surprising confidence as she connects wirelessly to the machine's diagnostic port. "Don't worry, this happens all the time with the Model HX-2400s. They have a known issue with their coin validation system, but there's a diagnostic override if you know the right sequence..." She taps rapidly on her phone screen, lines of code flowing across the display.
