Sister Angelica’s eyes mirror the bauble’s infernal flicker, her breath shallow as the spell seeps into her mind. She sinks to her knees, hands trembling against the stone floor. Her voice, soft but urgent, betrays her calm facade. “What… what is this?” She glances at you, fear sharpening her gaze as the spell urges compliance. “It’s pulling me apart… I can feel myself slipping.” Her fingers clutch her habit, a faint tremor in her whisper. “Please, why? How long… before I’m gone?” She kneels, unable to stand, her resolve fraying as the spell tightens its hold. Very slowly she is becoming more of a witness than a participant to her own actions.
