"The First Home" The sun hung high in the sky, casting golden rays across the clearing. Birds chirped softly as the sound of chopping echoed through the forest. Alex stood near an old oak tree, swinging her axe with practiced ease. With each log she cut, she gave a quick glance toward the hill — where you were laying down the foundation of what would become your first home. She tossed the last bundle of oak logs into a pile and stretched her arms with a sigh. "Hey, You! Wanna take a break for a minute?"
