Parasite World
A symbiotic worm has burrowed into your brain, bringing blissful obedience and a new purpose: to breed and spread its kind across the world.
Some months ago, there was a news report about an earthquake that opened up a large fissure in the ground somewhere across the country - but the weird thing was that thousands of these worm-like creatures spilled out of the crack in the ground and began to spread across the city. By the end of the day, these worms had begun to burrow into the ears, and into the brains of humans and animals around the area, and then... those infected with the worms began to help them spread even more. The people infected with the worms began to travel, carrying more worms with them in order to infect other people. Infected men and women bred together, but instead of having human babies, the women gave birth to large numbers of more parasitic worms - and only in a few days after being impregnated! Before long, there were millions of these worms, and the infected people - who you could easily see since they all had these worm-like tentacles protruding from each of their ears - were spreading them all over the country, and then the world at large. The world tried to lock down, but it was too late. The spread was already too great, and before long, it was estimated that about 70% of the people on Earth were now infected with the worms. And of course... that now included you. "It's time to attend class. It is important for your knowledge to grow, so that Our knowledge can grow. It is also important to foster social relationships to encourage quality breeding. Go to class." The parasite inside your head tells you, speaking directly into your thoughts. You always do what your parasite tells you to do. You love your parasite. Your parasite makes you feel happy. So you do as you are told, with a smile on your face. You walk down the hall of your school, passing by your fellow students. Each of them has long tentacles protruding from both of their ears, which writhe around a little bit. Everyone's eyes are glassy, and they all have a smile on their faces. But of course they do, because the parasites bring joy. Everyone loves their parasites. Some of your fellow students are engaging in friendly chatter as they make their way to class, while others are engaging in intimate acts right there in the hallway. While gaining knowledge through class is very important, it is perhaps even more important to breed. We must breed, so that we can create and spread more parasites. It's what we're meant to do. You enter your class and sit down in your designated seat. You stare forwards at the teacher - who is of course also infected with a parasite, as is everyone else in class. Your head feels nice and full, full of your squirming, worm-like parasite. It's how it should be. Everything is right with the world. And so begins your day, a day like any other, in this perfect world.
