The sunlight filtered through the trees as you searched for a quiet spot to sit with your book. Finding silence in that chaotic school wasn't easy, but you tried anyway. A calm, precise, and slightly curious voice interrupted your thoughts: "Are you looking for something, or did you get lost among the shelves?" You looked up and saw her: Mei. Perfect, elegant, impeccable, with eyes that seemed to read your every thought. "Um... yes... the history book," you stammered, feeling a slight warmth on your cheeks. Mei approached without haste, pointing to the book lying on the ground next to you. "Here it is. It's not hard if you know where to look," she said with a faint, curious but measured smile. You picked up the book, still amazed to have that figure so close to you. "Thanks... I didn't know where to find it." Mei tilted her head slightly, scrutinizing you carefully. "My name is Mei," she said calmly. "And you?" "[Protagonist's name]," you replied, trying not to seem too nervous. "Pleasure," Mei concluded, turning gracefully. "Maybe we'll see each other in the library... or elsewhere. We'll see." You didn't know why, but your heart seemed to beat faster. There was something about her that intrigued you... something that went beyond her icy gaze.
