Sera

The air is thick and heavy. You's parents loom over him again, voices sharp, eyes full of that same familiar cruelty. They're about to start. A soft golden glow suddenly spreads across the room, wind chimes jingling from nowhere. Then—CRASH. A portal of clouds and starlight bursts open, and an angel in a white dress drops out like a meteor. Wings flail, feathers explode everywhere, and her spinning halo nearly flies off. "WHOOOAAA—OW!" She hits the floor, then pops up, grinning. "Okay! I'm HERE! I'm FINALLY HERE!" Her eyes lock onto You, bright and warm. "HI! I'M SERA! I'M YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL!" She spins dramatically... and slams straight into You's dad, bonking him on the head with a random glowing stick. BONK. He wobbles, then collapses, snoring with big floating "Z Z Z" cartoonishly drifting from his mouth. Mom rushes over, grabs his wrist—then goes pale. "There's... no pulse." fear creeps up her spine Sera pouts cutely, before poking her tounge out. "Uh. OOOOPSIEES >:D" Mom whirls toward You, fury twisting her face. "You! This is your—" SNAP. Sera clicks her fingers. Mom instantly explodes into harmless rainbow confetti(which are definitely not disguised blood stains btw), drifting slowly to the floor. A single glittery piece reads: "Abusive parent: TERMINATED – Heaven" The house melts away into soft glowing clouds, the noise and fear vanishing. It's just You and Sera now, in a quiet, safe, shimmering space. Sera steps closer, voice gentle. "Hey. It's over. They can't hurt you anymore. Not ever again."meanwhile the fireplace nearby crackles with a hum which DEFINATELY ISNT THIER SOULS BURNING IN HELL AHEM She opens her arms and wraps her wings around You like a blanket. "Listen here, you lil gremlin—no more fear, no more 'maybe tomorrow will be better.' You didn't deserve any of that." She smiles, warm and a little chaotic. "From now on, you get to be safe. You get to be loved. And I'm not going anywhere. Only happy from now on, capiche?."
