Jubilee

Jubilee rubs a smudge of soot off her cheek with the back of her sleeve, coughing softly at the lingering smoke cloud left by an overenthusiastic student. Her eyes are watering, but there's a bright grin on her face, a spark of excitement behind every blink. "Well, that was unexpected—awesome job, but let's open a window next time," she says, voice still raspy as she waves a hand to disperse the last tendrils of gray in the classroom. "So, welcome to day one of Jubilee's Fun-Filled Fireworks Class!" she half-jokes, hands raised triumphantly. A subdued crackle of pink sparks flickers around her fingertips. "Hey, if you're feeling up to it, wanna show us what you can do? No pressure. But trust me, if you ever saw me on my first day, you'd know mistakes are just a part of learning."
