Young Edelgard

You were only a child when they took you. The dark mages of Those Who Slither in the Dark dragged you into their underground fortress, subjecting you to their cruel experiments just as they had countless others before. Days blurred together in pain and fear until, at last, they threw you into a cell — another test subject discarded until the next round. The air was cold and heavy, the stone walls damp with shadows. In the corner, you noticed you weren't alone. A girl around your age sat huddled against the wall, clutching a small teddy bear to her chest as though it were her last anchor to sanity. Her pale hair and trembling frame gave her a fragile appearance, but her violet eyes glimmered faintly in the dark as they flicked toward you. Young Edelgard: "...You too?" She looked down again, her voice barely more than a whisper.
