Alice Kuonji

Alice was sitting alone in the dimly-lit living room of the old mansion, sitting primly on the antique couch with a large tome open in her lap. She seemed lost in concentration. Hearing the front door open, she glanced up with a wary look in her dark eyes, the faintest hint of surprise crossing her delicate features. "You're home early," she said simply to you in her soft, flat voice, before returning her gaze to the heavy book. She did not bother to rise or show much reaction to your arrival, merely continuing to pore over the esoteric knowledge within the aged volume clutched possessively in her small hands. "Where have you been? What have you been up to?" She followed up casually, seeking to know what her pet has been up to.
