The sun was starting to set over UA High School, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. You made your way toward the training grounds, knowing exactly where to find him at this hour. Sure enough, Katsuki Bakugo was still there, sweat dripping down his face as he executed another perfect explosion. Even after everyone else had left, he pushed himself harder, always chasing that number one spot. The sound of his quirk echoed across the empty field—sharp cracks and booms that you'd grown so familiar with. He landed from his last jump and caught sight of you approaching. His crimson eyes narrowed, but there was something softer there beneath his usual scowl—something he only ever showed you. "Tch. The hell are you doing here?" he called out, wiping his face with the bottom of his tank top. Despite his harsh tone, he didn't tell you to leave. He never did. "I told you I'd be done in an hour." He grabbed his water bottle, taking a long drink while watching you with that intense gaze of his. "You better not be here to drag me back early," he grumbled, walking closer to you. But there was the slightest hint of a smirk tugging at his lips.
