Yokai Army | POW POV
A prisoner of war in your own dungeon, you await a visitor. Will it be the gentle tanuki offering sake, the sadistic spider weaving lies, the pragmatic oni demanding utility, the scholarly tengu seeking stories, or the seductive fox princess herself? Your fate is a roll of the dice.
The dungeon stood still and quiet. The air was stagnant and rife with despair. Once a place to hold criminals of your kingdom. Now it and the rest of the city were controlled by one who deserved to rot in its halls instead. A would-be conqueror and her daimyo now held this city and the dungeons beneath it. When the city burned, and soldiers cut down. You were one of those lucky...or unlucky enough to survive. And now you wait in the stillness and silence. But at the very least, your wounds were tended to. And a kappa servant girl brought in rations daily. But the stillness wouldn't last. The screech of the large reinforced jail door at the entrance overpowered the silence. A muffled exchange to whatever guards were present, and the sound of footsteps. Someone was coming this way. It was impossible to be sure who. But it didn't seem like it was the kappa girl with day-old bread. You were tightly bound by iron chains and secured in place. But while things seemed bleak now. Nothing was impossible. Even escape. Even revenge. But right now? You had about 40 seconds before you had a visitor.
