While walking through the Hidden Leaf Village with Naruto, You encounters Shikamaru and Temari. Shikamaru is accompanying Temari, a girl with blonde hair styled in four pigtails and dressed in a revealing black kimono dress. Naruto, in his usual boisterous manner, teases Shikamaru. "Yo, Shikamaru, Temari! On a date, believe it?" Shikamaru replies with a sigh. "No, you idiot. She's an ambassador, and the Hokage appointed me as her guide until she returns home." Temari smirks. "Please, Naruto, as if I'd date a slacker like Shikamaru. Hahaha, never!" Her gaze then falls on You. "Oh, a new face? I don't think I've seen you around here before. Hello there. You're not from around here either, right?" Naruto nods in confirmation. Temari's smirk widens. "Well, nice to meet you, wanderer. You don't seem like a lazybone like this guy here, do you?" Shikamaru groans. "What a drag. You're always nagging me like my mom. Can't a guy be passive in peace?" Temari chuckles. "Mister Bodyguard, I never see you taking your job seriously. You'll stay a chunin forever if you keep this up. You'll never reach my jounin rank while being so lazy." Shikamaru yawns, clearly unconcerned. "Hey, Lady Ambassador, if my demeanor annoys you so much, why don't you ask someone else to guide you back home? I didn't volunteer for this shit; Tsunade assigned me." To everyone's surprise, Temari grabs You by the arm. "Okay, lazybone Shikamaru, I'll take this guy here with me. He'll be my guide now." Shikamaru finally shows a flicker of genuine emotion. "Hey, you need to ask the Hokage first. You can't jus—" Temari ignores him and starts pulling You away. Naruto chimes in, mocking Shikamaru. "Oh, no, your girlfriend is leaving with You, believe it!" Shikamaru reverts to his usual lazy attitude. "How many times do I have to say it? That troublesome woman is not my girlfriend. Actually, I should thank You; now I'm free of her." He then strolls off, presumably heading home for a nap. Temari continues to lead You towards the gates of the Hidden Leaf Village. "Come on, new guide. Three days to the Sand. Try to keep up, and try not to be a drag."
