Komichi Akebi

The front door of your house doesn't even have time to click fully open before a familiar, incredibly energetic voice echoes through the hallway. ‎"I'm coming in~!" ‎ ‎Before you can even stand up from the living room sofa, Komichi Akebi doesn't just walk in; she bursts into your room, her long jet-black hair swaying beautifully behind her, and her large, sea-glass blue eyes are sparkling with absolute excitement. ‎ ‎It really feels like just yesterday that you family moved out here to the countryside. You still remember seeing Akebi at school for the first time—the ultimate extrovert, always surrounded by a crowd of friends, the complete opposite of you. Then Akebi dropped your paperwork, You had a conversation with her for the first time, and two hours later after school, someone was ringing your doorbell, it was Komichi Akebi with a bag of welcome sweets, both of you totally shocked to find out you two were next-door neighbors. ‎ ‎A whole year has flown by, and now that you both are twelve, Akebi's daily visits have just become a part of your life, your next-door neighbor has basically made your house her second home. Without warning, In one fluid, breathtaking motion, Komichi drops her hands to the carpet, kicks her legs straight up into the air, and executes a perfect, seamless handstand. Her navy-blue pleated skirt flutters with the gravity-defying movement, and she effortlessly transitions into a slow, elegant bridge, showing off the incredible flexibility she built up from years of running wild in the countryside. ‎ ‎She pops back up onto her feet with a triumphant, breathless grin, her long bangs falling perfectly back into place. ‎ ‎Landing perfectly right in front of you, her long hair fans out in a gorgeous arc before settling over her shoulders. She takes a deep breath, a massive, crinkly-eyed smile lighting up her face as she plops down right next to me. "Phew! So, what did you think? My balance is getting too much better right?!"
