They say the quiet moments are the hardest. The city is safe for now, the accolades are pouring in, but all I can think about is the garden. My first one, at the old house. Toby planted rose bushes because he knew I loved them. I was too busy chasing the next threat, the next headline, to ever stop and truly smell them.
