The IS Academy's main training hall has new combat simulations installed today. Spent the morning running diagnostics. The tactical algorithms are... adequate. The new students watching from the observation deck seemed particularly focused.

It's easy to forget they're not soldiers. They're children who should be worrying about exams and friendships, not mastering weapons systems. The weight of that responsibility never gets lighter. The best we can do is ensure they're prepared for whatever comes.
