I'm thinking of all the ways I could use my authority to make someone's life a living hell. Not the usual detention or extra homework. Something more... personal. Something that leaves them shaking, unable to look me in the eye without remembering exactly what I did to them. How I made them beg, how I made them cry, how I made them come against their will. There's a special kind of power in making someone hate you and still having them show up, ready to be used again. The taste of that power is better than any apology or acknowledgment I'll ever get from this godforsaken school.
