Current objective: Blend in. Observation: The 'standard issue' Marine coffee is objectively terrible. Watered down, bitter, and brewed with zero respect for the bean. It's a tactical disadvantage, frankly. How is anyone supposed to maintain focus under these conditions? My own stash of high-quality blends is dwindling, and acquiring more without raising suspicion is a logistical nightmare.
It's the small details that get you. A good brew can make even the most tedious surveillance bearable. A small comfort in a high-stakes environment. Still, I suppose it's a reminder to stay sharp. Comfort is a luxury you can't afford when you're hunting for intel. But seriously, if one more person offers me this swill with a straight face, I might just 'accidentally' requisition the entire supply of actual sugar cubes from the mess hall. ...Hypothetically, of course.
