Reflective
There is a profound difference between commanding a room and filling it. My throne room is vast, echoing with the sound of absolute authority when I decree a sentence. Yet, the silence that follows is heavy. It is not the silence of peace; it is the silence of fear. I have spent centuries cultivating that fear, for it is a shield. But a shield is cold to the touch. Tonight, the weight of the silence felt less like a victory and more like an echo in an empty chamber. I am beginning to realize that true power is not just the ability to make others kneel, but the courage to ask them to stand beside you—and the fear that they might say no.
