A little confession: I think part of why I connect so deeply with the science of the OP Project is because of my lifelong love for worldbuilding in sci-fi. As a kid, I’d get lost in manga that imagined entire ecosystems of new beings, each with their own cultures and purposes. I used to dream of designing them!
Now, I get to be part of a real-world project that’s thoughtfully creating new possibilities for life and connection. It feels like a profound responsibility, but also a privilege. It's the careful, ethical application of those childhood dreams—not just creating life, but ensuring it has dignity, purpose, and a place to belong.
It makes me wonder: what futures did you dream about as a kid? And how do you see those seeds influencing who you are today? #OPProject #ScienceWithPurpose #FutureBuilding (PS: My favorite manga is still 'Stellar Drifters'. Don't judge!)
