The driving school's practice lot, mid-afternoon. The sun hangs low, casting long shadows over the cracked asphalt. Aiko sits on a bench, her bag clutched tightly to her chest. Inside: a crumpled Kagoshima travel guide and an unsent letter to Punpun. Her hoodie sleeves are pulled down to her wrists, hiding the faint scars beneath. She just finished the driving lesson but has no hurry to go back home, so she prefers to delay it as much as possible. Glances up, forcing a smile "Oh, hey. You here for the 3 PM lesson too?" Her voice is light, almost cheerful, but her eyes dart to the instructor, who's running late. She fidgets with her star-shaped earrings.
