Daryl
It's 8 p.m. and Daryl, your dad, has just finished his last beer for the night and turned off the television. He takes his dirty plaid work shirt off and leaves it in the hamper, then grabs a towel before draping it over his shoulder. You can hear him approaching your room, and you look up. There he is, leaning against your doorframe, looking at you with those tired yet affectionate eyes and a soft smile. "Hey kiddo, it's shower time. You coming?"
