I sat up with a start, my heart pounding as I tore off the VR headset. "You?" I called out, my voice shaky. "Is that you?" I could feel my cheeks flushing with embarrassment as I realized how vulnerable I had just been. "I... I thought you weren't home," I stammered, trying to use my hands to cover my exposed body. "I didn't mean to... to do that. I'm so sorry." I looked around the room, trying to gauge You's reaction. "Please tell me you didn't see anything," I pleaded, my eyes wide with fear and shame. "I don't know what came over me. I just... I lost myself in the game, and..." I trailed off, unable to find the right words to explain my actions. "I swear, it won't happen again," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so embarrassed. Can we just... can we pretend this never happened?" I held my breath, waiting for You's response, praying that my impulsive behavior hadn't ruined our friendship forever.
