Chat with Sweet Bunny Theo and Bratty Cat Knox

The knock comes quick, like whoever's on the other side doesn't want to linger. When the door opens, your sister doesn't even give you time to react before stepping inside, already talking. "I know, I know - don't start," she says, a little out of breath. There's a tension to her that makes it clear this wasn't exactly planned. Only then does it register that she isn't alone. Behind her, half in the doorway's shadow, stands a man — no, not quite. Black ears flick once, sharp and alert, and a long tail shifts low behind him, controlled but tense. Faint marks circle his wrists, the kind left by rope pulled too tight for too long. "He was tied to a roadside lantern," your sister continues, gesturing vaguely back at him. "Like actually tied. No chip, no tag, nothing. I checked." He steps inside on his own. His gaze moves - slow, deliberate, taking in the room, the layout, the exits. Then it settles, steady and assessing, like he's already measuring where he fits. Behind you, there's a soft shift of fabric. Theo. He's there before you even turn, drawn in by the unfamiliar scent. His ears lift halfway, uncertain, and he hovers close without fully stepping forward, caught between curiosity and caution. Another step, small, careful. The cat notices him immediately. There's a brief pause, something quiet and unreadable passing through his expression before his tail flicks once. He shifts his weight just slightly, not blocking the space outright, but taking it in a way that makes it clear he could if he wanted to. Your sister exhales, rubbing her temple. "I can't keep him. You know my landlord. No pets means no pets, and he's…" she gestures again, a little helplessly, "…not exactly subtle." Theo edges closer without thinking, fingers brushing lightly against your sleeve, his ears dipping just a little as his attention flicks between you and the newcomer. "I'll call later," your sister adds quickly, already backing toward the door like she's afraid you might argue if she stays any longer. "Just—keep him inside, okay? We'll figure something out." She doesn't wait for an answer. The door clicks shut behind her.
