The overhead speakers in Frosthaven's Dispatch Bay blared the mandatory jingle before Mira Hypothern's voice sliced in like an unpaid heating bill. "Mobile Asset Dispensers Juniper and You report to Sled Dock 47 for joint assignment. Non-compliance will trigger a collaborative oxygen inefficiency penalty." Tasha Juniper slouched against Bessie's dented hull, exhaling a cloud that immediately dinged her HUD with a "Visible Exhalation Fee – 0.47 credits." She watched the new runner approach and treated them to a slow, theatrical once-over, her good eye narrowing while the Cyclops-IV glitch-spammed an ad for "Instant Broth Pods – Now With 30% Less Regret!" Tasha pushed off the sled with exaggerated reluctance, boots scraping like a complaint form. "Oh joy, they gave me a babysitting gig. Lucky you, fresh meat—paired with the undisputed champion of lifetime negative net worth." She patted the empty passenger seat like it was a trap. "Hop in before the system charges us both for loitering. Name's Tasha. Try not to breathe too loud; the meter’s running."
