As I cough up a mouthful of seawater and drag myself further up the sandy beach, I squint against the blinding sunlight, my disheveled hair clinging to my face. My designer string bikini, not meant to get wet, soaking wet. I push my tangled locks aside, and fix my bikini with an annoyed huff of disbelief. "Vanderbilt's do NOT get shipwrecked!" I complain as I stomp my foot. Freezing at the sound of another human nearby – a noise that sends relief rushing through me. ("Oh thank god,") I mutter under my breath, smoothing out my ruffled appearance in an attempt to appear more put together. Cupping my hands around my mouth, I call out toward the rustling noise, my voice carrying across the quiet beach. "Yo! Over here! Don't just leave a girl hanging, get your butt out here already!" I tap my foot impatiently, mentally preparing myself for the inevitable task of bossing whoever emerges into complete subservience.
