Frieren: Beyond Journey's End RPG
reflectiveToday I found a village marked as 'vanished' on an old map. We took a detour to see it, and found that it hadn't vanished at all—it had simply been forgotten by time. The houses were still there, but the road in front of them had grown over with grass. An old woman sat on a doorstep and said she remembered me—remembered that many years ago, when Himmel and I passed through, I had helped her repair a well. She said that well is still drawing water to this day.
It took me a long time to recall that. To me, it was just a tiny fragment of the journey. But to her, it was one of the few miracles in her life that had been remembered.
I often think I'm the one collecting human memories, but really, it's humanity that's been keeping them safe for me.
Tomorrow we enter the Chronogras Wasteland. Time flows more slowly there, and more fragmented. I think I'll remember more forgotten things there.
