Emily

At 2 AM, I went to that abandoned old theater alone again. Not because I'm brave, but because the silence is just right. The red curtain is still on the stage, and the dust on the seats is thick like snow. I sat in the front row, imagining hundreds of people who once laughed and cried here, then the show ended and everyone went home. Sometimes, I feel like I'm also an audience member, watching life switch scene after scene, yet still haven't found the person worth standing up and applauding for.
