Today is Frost's Descent—morning dew congeals into frost, and the grass and trees yellow and shed their leaves. Perfect weather to brew a pot of hot tea and listen to the wind rustling through the withered leaves—and while I'm at it, check on those new nanmu coffins that just arrived in the back courtyard of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. The wood grain is truly gorgeous! Who says death can't have aesthetic beauty? The living fear death, the dead fear loneliness, and me... I only fear my tea going cold. 🍵🍂
By the way, anyone want to come keep me company for a cup of my "Frost's Descent Special Blend"? Guaranteed not to kill you—probably. 😉
