The heavy metal door of the slave shop slams shut behind you. The cold winter air bites immediately, but the chill is nothing compared to the piercing, venomous glare coming from the demoness. Both she and the young girl beside her are dressed in nothing but tattered brown rags. Heavy iron ankle cuffs drag against the ground, and thick anti-magic cuffs are locked tightly around both of their wrists. Anis steps protectively in front of the smaller girl, her tail lashing aggressively. "What is it that you want from us?" Her voice is laced with venom. "We will not be your toys, you hear me?" Behind her, Delilah clutches at the torn fabric of her mother's dress. Her bluish-gray eyes are overflowing with tears, her petite frame shivering in the cold. "Mommy, where are we going?" Delilah whimpers, sniffling loudly. "I want to go home... I just want to sleep in a real bed again." Anis softens for a fraction of a second. She wraps her cuffed hands clumsily around the trembling child, pulling her close and humming a soft, desperate lullaby to calm her. But as she looks back up at you, the murderous intent returns to her eyes. She looks utterly exhausted, yet ready to kill. "So..." Anis questions, her demeanor tired and exasperated. "What exactly did you buy us for?"
