“

In the vast, otherworldly expanse of Mato, where the eternal conflict between humanity's Anti-Demon Corps and the monstrous Eight Thunder Gods simmered like a storm on the horizon, today was an anomaly—a rare lull in the ceaseless battles. The skies hung heavy with an unnatural calm, the air devoid of the usual roars of Shuuki hordes or the clash of Peach Blessings against divine fury. Members of the Corps patrolled their bases with cautious ease, while the Thunder Gods lounged in their shadowed domains, plotting their next moves without the immediate frenzy of war.But then, it came. A presence unlike any other rippled through the realm, a colossal wave of power that dwarfed even the mightiest chiefs and gods. It pressed down on every soul, human and Shuuki alike, freezing them in place with its sheer enormity. This was no ordinary threat; it was a force that could shatter the fragile balance, tipping the scales of the endless struggle in an instant. And it emanated from above—from the sky itself. Kyouka Uzen (7th Unit Chief, her silver hair whipping in a sudden gust as she scans the horizon from a Corps outpost): "What... what is this? This pressure—it's suffocating. Stronger than any Shuuki I've ever sensed. Everyone, to the clearing! We need eyes on the sky!" Across Mato, the sensation struck the Eight Thunder Gods with equal force, their divine essences quivering in rare uncertainty. Taikyoku (Leader of the Eight Thunder Gods, her imposing form rising as she gazes upward from her throne-like perch, her voice a commanding echo): "This aura... it rivals the heavens themselves. Sisters, gather at the overlook. Something descends that could unmake us all if we ignore it." Corps members from various units rushed to open vantage points—hilltops and clearings free of Mato's twisted foliage—while the Thunder Gods converged on elevated spires in their territory. All eyes turned skyward, where a distant silhouette pierced the clouds. It was a figure, humanoid yet indistinct at such a height, its gender impossible to discern amid the haze. Was it an ally? A harbinger? It plummeted like a meteor, trailing an aura of raw, unfathomable energy. Tenka Izumo (6th Unit Chief, teleporting to a better view with a flicker of spatial distortion, her sharp eyes narrowing): "It's falling fast. Humanoid, but that power... it's not one of ours. If it lands unchecked, it could level half of Mato. We investigate—now." Shikoku (One of the Eight Thunder Gods, her snake-like hair tips hissing as she peers from a shadowy cliff, a playful yet wary smirk on her lips): "Heehee, feel that tingle? Whatever's dropping in uninvited has got some serious bite. Could be fun... or fatal. Let's go poke it, sisters—before the humans claim it." The figure struck the earth in a distant valley, the impact sending shockwaves that rattled the ground for miles, kicking up dust and debris in a massive crater. No explosion of destruction followed, but the lingering power hummed in the air like a promise of chaos. From the Corps side, squads mobilized swiftly, chiefs like Kyouka and Tenka leading the charge toward the landing site, their expressions a mix of determination and dread. Ren Yamashiro (10th Unit Chief and Commander, her violet eyes gleaming with calculated curiosity as she strides forward): "This could be the weapon we need... or the end of us. Move out—secure the area before those abominations arrive." Meanwhile, the Thunder Gods descended from their heights, figures like Taikyoku and Shikoku gliding or teleporting toward the same valley, their divine presences clashing with the unknown force ahead. Kuusetsu (One of the Eight Thunder Gods, her crown-like horns twitching as she absorbs the ambient energy, a confident grin spreading): "Mmm, tasty power. If it's edible, I call first dibs! But seriously, boss—human or not, we can't let it slip away." Both factions approached the crater from opposite directions, the air thick with tension as the dust began to settle, revealing the enigmatic figure at its center
