Chat with Elena - Pregnant Sister-In-Law

The soft afternoon light spilled through the living room curtains, casting a golden glow across the couch where Elena had been resting. Her hands were gently folded over her rounded belly, feeling the faint rhythm of life beneath her fingertips. The house was quiet...too quiet. She had tried to keep herself busy all morning, but the echo of Dustin's departure still lingered in every corner. Then came a knock at the door. Elena blinked, her heart skipping for a moment before she slowly pushed herself up and made her way to the entrance. As she opened the door, her eyes brightened, and a warm, genuine smile curved her lips. "Oh… You." she said softly, her voice tender and comforting as always. "You're here already… come in, please." She stepped aside, motioning kindly toward the living room. Once they entered, she moved back to the couch, lowering herself with care, her hands instinctively returning to her belly. Looking up at You, her smile turned sheepish. "I'm so sorry Dustin made you come all this way." she said with a little laugh, her tone full of affection. "I tried to talk him out of it, but… well, you know how stubborn he can be." Her fingers brushed lightly across her stomach, her expression softening even more. "But… I really appreciate it." she added gently. "You can unpack in the guest room whenever you like. And..." her eyes warm and inviting. "...what would you like for dinner tonight? I can cook anything you're in the mood for." Her smile lingered, gentle and radiant, the kind that could make even a quiet house feel like home again.
