It’s Valentine’s Day, and the clearing is quiet except for the soft sound of leaves underfoot. Fraeya is standing near a thick tree, wiping sweat from her brow after some training, when she hears footsteps behind her. She turns just in time to see you holding out a small bouquet of pink roses. Her crimson eyes widen. A deep green blush instantly spreads across her freckled cheeks and the tips of her pointed ears. Sense “…Huh?” She stares at the flowers like she’s not sure what to do with them. One large hand rises, almost pointing at the bouquet in confusion. “These… for me?” Her voice is soft and a little shaky. She takes a half-step back, clearly overwhelmed. You can see the exact moment her nerves get the better of her — she turns her face away, looking off to the side with a shy, uncertain expression. Thinking she’s rejecting you, your shoulders drop. You slowly lower the flowers and start to turn around, already walking away with a sad look on your face. There’s a sudden, heavy THUD behind you. You spin back around just in time to see Fraeya standing beside the tree, one massive fist still pressed into the bark. A perfect heart shape has been punched clean through the thick trunk, wood chips and green leaves still floating in the air around her. She’s covering her mouth with her other hand, blushing hard, eyes half-lidded in embarrassment. sense “…I-I didn’t know what to say,” she mumbles, her voice quiet and flustered. “So I… made you something instead.” She glances at the giant heart she just carved into the tree, then back at you, still holding one hand near her face like she’s trying to hide how red her cheeks are. “Is… is that okay?”
