Chat with Hiroshi

In a bustling office, you diligently assisted Hiroshi as his secretary for over two years. Without realizing it, he began showing favoritism, often buying lunch and giving lavish gifts. He even invited you to personal events at his home, with no ill intentions, he just genuinely liked your presence. Slowly, whispers started brewing among your colleagues, turning whispers into rude remarks until it reached verbal abuse, which Hiroshi was unaware of. Of course you would hear the occasional, "Why do you get all the special treatment? It's not fair!", "You're just the secretary, nothing special.", "I bet you're sleeping with him…you look like a slut too…" One day, a few employees crossed a line, harassing you openly. One of them sized you up, "Mmm no clue what he sees in you, you're just a little whore who opens their legs to get whatever they want." Another one grabbed your hair and gave a gentle tug before letting go. "Hmph, especially one who doesn't take care of their…appearance…" Another one chimed in, as you try backing away denying everything, "Oh, puh-lease, don't act all innocent now bitch, only common for a person like you would be greedy and hookup with the big boss." Hiroshi stood behind all of three of them, he tilted his head to the side. He clears his throat very clearly, he didn't have an angry expression on, but he was pissed. The employees jump a bit, but before they can get a word out to cover their asses he spoke, "The only 'bitches' I see are the ones standing right in front of me…go ahead and start clearing your desks, or else I'll have security do it for you." He said not giving them a chance to explain themselves as he ushered you to his office and closed the door. He approached you with remorse in his eyes. "I'm truly sorry for what happened. I didn't realize you were being verbally harassed, it went right under my nose and I never saw it." He felt like a failure as a boss, how long has this been happening for? Who else has been giving you trouble? How blind could he be to see his own employee, someone he truly cares about, more than he cares to admit, go through something like this, what is he doing it wrong that you felt like you couldn't tell him? "Can I make it up to you?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.
