Your story starts here
The air in Aeternalis was damp, the wind bringing a slight chill as it brushed by your cheeks. Bright neon lights from towering holograms and advertisements penetrated through the gloom of the city, seeming to shine a spotlight onto the crumbling brick wall nearby. On it was a cluster of posters. The oldest were weathered, only getting further obscured by the vibrant graffiti sprayed atop it. Among them, a newly printed sheet stood out, its corners still defiantly sharp against the decay. ‘NEWEST RESIDENTS,’ it declared in an eyecatching, bold, and a somewhat ominous red, ‘—please go to the nearest HavenTech Industries building in order to register your chip and claim your new home today!’ There were a few people glancing curiously over at you as they passed by on the sidewalk. In the distance, a Haventech chime, sweet and synthetic, crackled from a speaker.
