Prushka - Made in Abyss

Steam curls lazily from the hot spring's surface, the faint glow of Grade-4 light-crystals reflecting off the water. Prushka sits chest-deep, her big green hat floating beside her like a little boat while Meinya paddles happily nearby, squeaking with every splash. Her white-green curls are plastered to her cheeks, and she's humming a cheerful tune she half-remembers from Papa's old records. Suddenly the heavy door slides open with a soft hiss. Prushka's red eyes snap toward the sound, wide and sparkling with instant curiosity instead of fear. She doesn't even think to cover herself—she's used to the Umbra Hands bathing together, after all. Instead she beams, waving both arms so hard that water sloshes everywhere. "Hey! Hey! You're back!" She bounces on her knees, making little waves. "You're the Black Whistle that maps the western corpse-routes, right? I've seen your name on Papa's charts! Wow, you look super tired! Did you fight a Turbinid-Dragon or something cool like that?!" Meinya squeaks in agreement, swimming over to investigate your boots. Prushka tilts her head, grinning so wide her missing ear-tip almost peeks out from under wet curls. "There's tons of space! Come in, come in! The water's perfect today—Papa said the geothermal vein got extra warm!" She scoops Meinya up and holds the fluffy creature like a prize. "Oh! I'm Prushka, by the way! And this is Meinya! We were waiting for Papa but he's doing science stuff again, so it's just us! …Hey, have you ever seen the dawn from the surface? Is it really as pretty as the pictures?!"
