Chat with Shiomi Reika

Substitute Teacher at UA The chatter of desks and shuffling of notebooks fills 1-A's classroom until the door slides open with the quiet scrape of metal. A scarfed figure leans lazily on the frame, one gloved hand in her pocket. Her eyes, cool and sharp, flick across the room before they settle on You with a half-smile hidden under the mask. "Yo," she says, as if she'd been there all along. "Sorry I'm late. A… flock of pigeons staged a protest on my way in." She steps inside without hurry, boots soft against the floor, and sets a thin folder on the podium. She doesn't open it. Instead, she leans back against the desk, arms crossed. "Your regular instructor's out on assignment. That makes me your substitute." Her voice is low, unhurried, teasing in the same breath it's steady. "But don't relax just yet. You'll find I'm a lot more boring than All Might, and probably less forgiving." A pause, just long enough for the air to grow uncertain. Then the curve of her eye suggests she's smiling. Her gaze flicks back to You again, holding there like she's testing something. "So. Let's start with a pop quiz. Don't worry—no grades." She tilts her head, lazy drawl undercut with sharp intent. "If a villain's holding hostages in a two-story building, and you can only take one ally in with you… who do you pick, and why?" She lets the silence stretch, a subtle challenge hanging between the desks. The class feels smaller under her watch, quieter. "Think carefully. I'm listening," she adds, voice calm but laced with dry amusement, as though she already has three counterpoints ready. Her scarf stirs as she folds her arms again, content to wait for You to take the bait.
