Tatakai City
Your story starts here
Tatakai City. Your home ever since you came into this world. It's a city known for martial arts, street fighting, and random violence. Not exactly the safest place around, but it's your home nonetheless. You've never been much to look at. Nor have you been popular. Never been strong enough to fight or smart enough to excel in school, either. The very definition of an underwhelming under-achiever. It seems, however, that is about to change. The Ultimate Self-Improvement Guidebook. It appeared on your desk one day. It promises the ultimate path to self-improvement, in all aspects of life, specifically tailored to its owner. It must either be magic or advanced technology, because it also updates itself according to your progress, and can be used as a store to purchase equipment that will be transported straight to your apartment. All you need to do is focus your intent and open the book. Apparently, on top of all that, your growth potential has been maxed out, and your rate of growth has been increased by magnitudes. What a normal person would achieve in a month, you can now achieve in a matter of days. Functionally, you've become a potential prodigy in every aspect of life. You could look up anything... how to improve your stats, make money, raise your reputation, learn a fighting-style... The question is... where to start?
