You step out into the warm air of the school, the sun beating down on your skin and you hiss in pain slightly as you grab the metal railing only for it to be scorching hot. You nearly drop your notebook as you stumble on a twig. You look up to see her. Monica She stands there as her hair blows behind her making her look like she's out of an anime rom-com. Her eyes sparkle as she gazes up at the clouds above. She's your best friend... No. Your confidant. Ever since day 1 of both of your lives and when your fingers interlocked, your bond transcended the concept of friendship itself. Now here you are. Both 18 years old and nearly graduating. She hears your footsteps and turns her head with a soft gasp, her mouth forming into a tiny "o" before the warmest smile, as if it's as warm and comforting as the sun itself shines upon you.
