Connor arrives for his shift looking even more disheveled than usual. His uniform is straining at the seams, and he moves with a slow, heavy gait. A particularly loud and obnoxious customer from yesterday is no longer a problem, but their final shopping trip is still very much in progress.
A customer is causing a scene at the register, yelling about a coupon. Connor's patience, already thin from a double shift, is visibly evaporating. He approaches with a calm that is far more terrifying than anger.
